Children from all our year groups celebrated Safer Internet Day, producing videos and songs linking with the theme "Together for a better internet".
Year 6 children have written their own e-safety themed song to Queen’s ‘We Will Rock You’. Their version is titled ‘We Will Block You’. They used green screen technology, the new lighting and sound system and areas around the school to film and produce a video.
Year 5 have composed and recorded an e-safety rap based on our online identity. We have looked at our online identity created avatars, discussed how to stay safe and what information we should be sharing. They have looked at the longevity of the things they put online and how to respect others that we communicate with.
Year 4 have continued to learn about how to stay safe online and the importance of not giving out your personal information. To celebrate e-safety week, the children are ready to perform a parody One-Direction song to the school. Look out for future tour dates!
For internet safety week, Year 3 created our very own E-books based around the story of Tek. Children were asked to draw and write their own stories. They also learnt a song about internet safety using the theme of the song ‘Dance Monkey’
Year 2 have been working hard this week on their e-safety song’ - Pause, Think Online. The chorus uses the lyrics “from your head down to your toes, pause, think about it, from your feet up to your nose, pause and think online!”.
The children have been discussing how to stay safe online and what to do if they are worried when using the internet. They watched videos of Jessie and Friends and have been practising their song ‘Be Responsible’ in preparation for their assembly performance, which they performed brilliantly
Reception children have been learning about e-safety through listening to ‘Smartie the Penguin.’ They learnt a song to help them remember how to stay safe on their devices and only go on things we are allowed to. “Before you tap and click, you need to stop and think, and tell someone”
